Heat Transport Design Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Heat Transport System Design Engineer who will focus on the primary sodium heat transport system design for advanced nuclear reactor projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design nuclear and industrial process systems from requirements through final design
• Perform analyses in support of design using hand calculations and software methods
• Interface with design teams to create and manage drawing packages and ensure adherence to design codes

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years of direct experience in mechanical systems design
• Experience in complex fluid system design and fluid simulation software
• Previous experience with centrifugal pump and tube and shell heat exchanger design
• Experience writing design specifications for large capital equipment is highly desired
