Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder Inpatient.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstract, code, and sequence clinical information from various medical records
• Assign correct diagnoses and procedure codes while ensuring accurate sequencing
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and track productivity levels

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient coding experience in a large acute care facility (at least 700 beds)
• Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
• Must possess RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification
• Experience with Cerner and a CAC; Optum eCAC experience preferred
• Able to work full-time hours, Monday through Friday, and complete training during regular business hours
