Abstract, code, sequence, and interpret clinical information from various medical records
Assign correct principal and secondary diagnoses and procedure codes with accurate sequencing
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure confidentiality of patient records
Required Qualifications
Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
Minimum of two to four years of current production coding experience in acute care and profee
Must possess one of the following certifications: CPC, COC, CIC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P
Experience coding for all medical and surgical specialties in an academic trauma level 1 facility
Proficient in using Epic and 3M 360 software
