Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Abstracts relevant clinical information from health records and assigns accurate ICD-10-CM codes
• Assigns CPT codes to procedures and meets coding quality standards
• Maintains confidentiality and participates in educational opportunities to enhance coding skills

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Completion of a formal coding program
• Preferred certifications include CCS, RHIT, or RHIA
• Minimum of three years' coding work experience
• Working knowledge of ICD and CPT coding systems, medical terminology, and anatomy
