Assign correct principal and secondary diagnoses and procedure codes while ensuring accurate sequencing
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and document productivity in specified systems
Required Qualifications
Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
Minimum of two to four years of current production coding experience in acute care and profee
Certificates such as CPC, COC, CIC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or CCS-P are required
Experience with Cerner, Revcycle, and Optum Encoder Pro is preferred
Ability to maintain 95% coding accuracy and achieve 8 CPH productivity within 4 weeks
