Contract Instructional Designer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Contract Instructional Designer to assist in course creation and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Build expository, illustrative, and reinforcement elements, application exercises, quizzes, and assessments in Articulate Rise
• Review raw SME video content and suggest edits, while designing and revising live session slide decks and creating study guides
• Conduct quality assurance using a provided checklist and monitor the bug queue for existing courses, making minor updates as needed

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience creating asynchronous learning content for adult learners in a corporate or ed tech environment
• Fluency in Articulate Rise and experience designing asynchronous learning in relevant subject matter
• Ability to follow design standards and work from templates while navigating ambiguity
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Availability of at least 20 hours/week starting in August 2025, with no more than 3 weeks of unavailability for the remainder of 2025
