Job Summary

A company is looking for a Communications Manager to oversee and lead communications for legal, advocacy, and public policy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee proactive communications and media relations efforts, collaborating with various teams to implement strategic communications plans
• Lead media relations and crisis communications, managing press inquiries and developing reactive communications plans
• Manage people and external vendor relationships, providing feedback and coaching to direct reports and ensuring alignment with team goals

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of communications and media relations experience
• Experience in advocacy, policy, and legal communications with a focus on impactful cross-channel campaigns
• Proven ability to lead crisis communications efforts and develop proactive response systems
• Excellent knowledge of the global media landscape and experience cultivating journalist relationships
• People management experience, with a commitment to professional development and team impact
