Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Supervisor (remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist coders and documentation management staff with complex patient care cases by analyzing documentation and discussing code assignment
• Review medical records for coding errors and identify opportunities for coder education
• Serve as a technical expert/resource for staff and external customers regarding coding and documentation standards

Required Qualifications

• University Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (experience may substitute for formal education)
• Current certification as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC
• Strong outpatient coding background at a senior level including experience with inpatient charts
• Must maintain certification throughout employment
