Refund Specialist - job 1 of 2

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Refund Specialist who will focus on reviewing and processing patient and insurance refunds.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and print accounts with credit balances for multiple practices
• Export refund check registers and submit them to accounting
• Research and resolve accounts and refund requests in credit balance

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is highly preferred
• 3+ years of relevant experience is highly preferred
• In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer reimbursement policies and procedures
• Experience with compliance regarding payor contract requirements
• Ability to complete quarterly reports related to vendor credit balances and escheatment
