Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced QA Lead to join our R&D team at Real and play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading test efforts, developing comprehensive test plans, and guiding the team in manual and automated testing processes. You will be instrumental in enhancing product quality through rigorous testing, identifying issues early in the development cycle, and ensuring smooth product releases. As a QA Lead, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that testing procedures are efficient, effective, and aligned with project goals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead the development, writing, and execution of test plans for both web and mobile applications. Ensure comprehensive test coverage and adherence to quality standards.
Analyze Product Requirement Documents (PRD) and highlight any gaps or ambiguities. Convert business requirements into actionable test cases with full coverage.
Conduct both manual and automated testing, using tools like Cypress, Playwright, and other relevant technologies.
Design, create, and manage test cases, including database impact testing, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, and usability testing in preparation for product releases.
Evaluate and improve existing testing frameworks and tools to expand both manual and automation testing coverage.
Oversee the entire QA cycle, including test planning, test case management, execution, and reporting.
Identify and raise issues and defects through established project management channels (e.g., Jira/Youtrack), ensuring timely resolution.
Lead and guide a team of QA engineers, ensuring high standards of quality and a collaborative team environment.
Monitor and drive process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Perform testing on both Android and iOS devices, ensuring that mobile applications meet quality standards across platforms.
Conduct web services (API) testing using tools like Postman and Swagger to validate backend services.
Use tools like Bugsnag for error monitoring, logging, and debugging to ensure smooth application functionality.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Hands-on experience with mobile testing on both Android and iOS platforms.
Experience in performing UI/UX testing to ensure user-friendly and visually appealing designs.
Proficiency in creating and managing test cases, using tools like TestRail, Quality Center, or similar.
A solid understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how they impact testing.
Strong knowledge of various testing methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.
Proficiency with test management tools such as Jira, Youtrack, or similar defect tracking tools.
Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar.
Proficiency in automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar.
Experience with tools like Bugsnag or similar error monitoring platforms is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and report on test results.
Ability to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Familiarity with real estate market applications or products is a plus.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including hands-on testing in both manual and automated testing environments.
Proven experience in QA for web and mobile platforms.
Experience with API Testing and Debugging: Experience with tools like Postman, Swagger, or equivalent.
Experience in Leading QA Teams: Experience in leading or mentoring teams in a QA setting is highly preferred.
