Principal Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer (Robotics / Automated Machinery).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for major robotics and automation development projects
• Engage in applications engineering, product development, and sustaining engineering for robots in semiconductor and adjacent industries
• Utilize expertise in electro-mechanical precision machine design with embedded software and controls

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred) with at least 10 years of experience in robotics or automated machine design
• Minimum of 5 years of project management and leadership experience
• Proficiency in engineering fundamentals and analysis, including static, dynamic, vibration, structural, and thermal analysis
• Expertise in bearing/motion component selection, motor and sensor selection, and working with suppliers
• Experience in developing new products from concept to production using a stage gate development process
