This is an excellent opportunity for a Director of Digital Strategy (40 hours/week) at our Jackson Street Administration Office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and/or in our Doty Street Administration Office in Madison, WI.

PPWI’s compensation philosophy is rooted in equity. Starting offers are determined by both the candidate’s applicable experience and internal equity. The Director of Digital Strategy pay starts from $35.00 per hour.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for developing and executing digital communications strategies for PPWI’s and PPAWI’s communications through all digital platforms and ensure that the organization’s digital experiences align with and support the organization’s mission, vision, values, brand, reputation, and strategic goals. This position ensures digital communications are inclusive and representative of the communities we serve.
This position plays a key leadership role in cross-collaborating with agency departments to translate agency-wide strategic initiatives into actionable plans that create continuity in digital messaging, internally and externally. The role actively integrates social media channels, inbound marketing efforts, and digital advertisements into campaigns and strategies that underpin the Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin (PPWI) mission. The person is responsible for developing and executing short and long-term communications strategies through the lens of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin’s diversity, equity and inclusion plan and vision to enhance the experiences all staff, patients, and community members.

- Track record of centering equity and justice in previous work. Demonstrated ability to tell important and impactful stories that center around marginalized communities, women, people of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community, etc.
- Must be able to work collaboratively and develop and maintain relationships with multiple constituencies.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
- Experience developing organic and paid digital media strategies.
- Experience managing digital communications, building awareness campaigns and driving key messages to identified target audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to develop digital communication plans to elevate an issue, brand, or message to various communities and audiences.
- Must be able to maintain confidential information.
- Must have the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and urgent, unexpected needs in a collaborative, fast paced environment.
- Able to adapt to the evolving needs of a project and see it from a big picture perspective while breaking it down into smaller pieces.
- Experience with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point preferably in MS 365.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- A bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications or other related discipline with at least five years of experience in developing and executing strategies in journalism, digital, earned, owned, and/or paid media communications, public affairs, and/or message development.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered.

Physical demands of the position necessitate hearing, talking, handling and grasping regularly. May require lifting up to 30 pounds. Specific vision conditions include close vision reading. Requires the ability to operate a computer, telephone, fax, copy machine and adding machine or calculator.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The position is generally performed in an office environment but involves frequent interruptions. Occasional evenings and weekends may be necessary.
This position requires traveling statewide. Must have access to transportation.
