Linux Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Linux Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Linux environments and will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of servers and applications.

You will work closely with other IT staff to implement best practices in configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting. The role will also involve automating processes to enhance system efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Linux servers and systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Implement and manage configuration management tools to automate system tasks and deployments.
• Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and security updates to ensure compliance and security.
• Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans and backup strategies.
• Assist in the design and deployment of new applications and services on Linux platforms.
• Create and maintain extensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and problem resolutions.

• Proven experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or in a similar role within IT support.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and associated technologies.
• Experience with shell scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, Ansible).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies (e.g. Azure).
• Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and security best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and provide swift resolutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Greek.
