Patient Account Specialist (OR & WA)

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Specialist - Remote (OR & WA).

Key Responsibilities

• Screen patients and process Financial Assistance Applications, verifying eligibility and making account adjustments
• Communicate with patients to respond to inquiries and assist with the application process for outreach programs
• Work with responsible parties to resolve outstanding accounts, including setting up payment plans and securing payments from various entities

Required Qualifications

• Preferred college coursework in Accounting, Business, Medical Technology, Communications, or Social Work
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in collections, customer service, billing, or a related medical field
• Familiarity with government, commercial, and third-party billing is preferred
• Proficient in using computers and MS Office applications
• Ability to work independently and interdependently with limited supervision
