Role Overview:
We’re looking for a strategic, data-driven E-Commerce & Retention Marketing Manager to lead the performance, growth, and optimization of our e-commerce site and customer lifecycle marketing. This role will own the on-site shopping experience, email, SMS and lifecycle marketing strategy.
This is a highly cross-functional role requiring collaboration across content, operations, merchandising, and customer service teams. You’ll be both strategic and hands-on, able to analyze data, identify opportunities, and execute quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
E-Commerce Management
- Own the daily performance and optimization of the e-commerce site (Shopify).
- Lead brand/product merchandising, collections, launches, and content uploads in collaboration with the content, merchandising and ops teams.
- Develop and execute on promotional calendars and seasonal campaigns.
- Monitor and report on key site metrics: traffic, sales, conversion rate, AOV, etc.
- Partner with operations and merchandising to troubleshoot issues with vendors or product listings.
- Implement and optimize upsell/cross-sell strategies on PDPs and cart.
Retention & Lifecycle Marketing
- Lead the retention strategy through email marketing, SMS and automated flows (e.g., welcome series, cart abandonment, post-purchase, win-back).
- Own the email campaign calendar, partnering with editorial and creative for copy/design.
- Segment audiences and test different email approaches to improve engagement and repeat purchases.
- Own Klaviyo, including reporting, list hygiene, and integrations with Shopify.
- Monitor key retention KPIs: revenue, repeat purchase rate, CLTV, subscriber growth, unsubscribes, etc.
- 3–6 years of experience in e-commerce or digital marketing roles, ideally at an online retailer, marketplace or DTC brand.
- Deep understanding of Shopify, Klaviyo, and basic front-end UX best practices.
- Analytical thinker who’s fluent in data (Google Analytics, Shopify reports, ESP (Klaviyo) metrics).
- Excellent project manager with strong attention to detail and ability to juggle many moving parts.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with creative, editorial, merchandising, and operations teams.
- Bonus: experience with affiliate/influencer platforms like LTK, ShopMy, and performance-based creator programs.
