Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Coding Compliance Coordinator (remote).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist coders and documentation management staff with complex patient care cases by analyzing documentation and discussing correct code assignment
  • Review medical records flagged for coding errors and identify opportunities for coder and clinical education
  • Serve as a technical expert/resource for staff and external customers regarding coding and documentation standards
Required Qualifications
  • University Degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience (experience may substitute for education)
  • Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CPC-H
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Health Information Management program is preferred
