About the Role:

As the Vice President of Regulated Environments, you will be the strategic leader responsible for managing and scaling our company’s efforts in supporting U.S. federal, state, international and industry-specific segments/markets from an operational and compliance perspectives


Key Responsibilities:


  • Partner with Company Operations, GTM and Product leadership to support and advise on the creation of an annual roadmap of new U.S. and international certifications, authorizations and other qualifications to unlock SAM, based on thorough ROI analysis, resulting in predictable GTM execution on opportunities.
  • Build and lead a team of expert, experienced compliance professionals, project managers and technical interpreters to be “the glue” between the annual roadmap requirements and the teams executing to deliver this roadmap.
  • Audit and improve our inventory of existing product compliance certifications and authorizations to inform ROI assessments of net new investments.

This role requires deep cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Security, Compliance, Product, Operations, and Go-to-Market teams to drive the development, deployment, and support of a secure and compliant SaaS solution, contributing to the growth and success of our regulated market product offerings. This role will report directly to the SVP of Company Operations. 


Additional Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: In conjunction with key GTM and Corporate strategy stakeholders, develop and implement the company’s strategy for government and regulated markets, aligning teams around key goals to support federal, classified, and other highly regulated customer offerings. Continuously evaluate and advocate for strategic changes based on ROI of existing investments and new opportunities.

- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Engineering, Security, Compliance, Operations, Legal, Go-to-Market, and Billing teams to ensure streamlined processes and effective execution across all areas of regulated environments.

- Compliance and Security Oversight: Lead and coordinate processes to meet U.S. federal, state, international and industry-specific segments/market standards. Manage compliance across the lifecycle of our products, services, and operations such as FedRAMP, NIST, CMMC, ICD 503, and other regulatory frameworks required for classified and government operations between Security & Product and Engineering.

- Product and Service Enablement: Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to clarify technical, regulatory and audit requirements, to drive the development of secure, compliant solutions tailored to regulated market needs. w

- Team Building and Mentorship: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing cross-functional team (often reporting to other verticals within the company, not to you directly) to execute strategies in regulated environments, fostering a culture of compliance, security, and continuous improvement.

- Stakeholder Communication*: Regularly communicate progress, updates, and risks to executive leadership, ensuring alignment and responsiveness to evolving customer and regulatory requirements.


 Qualifications:

- Clearance: Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance.

- Experience: 10+ years of experience in senior leadership roles, with a focus on developing the roadmap for certifications, authorizations and qualifications, and operating in regulated environments, federal/government sectors, and classified markets in a SaaS or technology organization.

- Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of compliance and security standards such as FedRAMP, NIST, ICD 503, ITAR, and other relevant regulations.

- Cross-Functional Management: Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams, aligning diverse teams around shared goals, and executing strategic initiatives.

- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with SaaS product architecture, development processes, and operational best practices in secure environments.

- Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable plans for diverse teams.

- Leadership and Communication: Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience presenting to executive teams, regulatory bodies, and customer stakeholders.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with business development or go-to-market strategy in regulated environments.

- Previous experience in a Vice President or similar executive role.

- Direct experience working with U.S. federal government agencies and understanding of classified government requirements.
