Candidates must reside in either the Bellevue/Seattle, WA region or the San Francisco Bay Area to be eligible for this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of key strategic accounts and top reseller/partners, ensuring timely outreach, resolution of outstanding invoices, and reconciliation of complex accounts with minimal oversight. Including:
    • Payment reminders, 
    • Collections notices 
    • Drafting legal demand letters, when necessary.
  • Provide guidance on escalations of accounts to cross-functional teams and other analysts.
  • Handle account deactivations or work stoppages due to non-payment, and escalate issues according to policy.
  • Negotiate payment plans within internal guidelines, escalating sensitive cases appropriately.
  • Drive dispute resolution (e.g., tax, purchase orders, billing), monitor dispute trends, and recommend operational improvements.
  • Submit and track refund requests and ensure compliance with customer banking and documentation standards.
  • Perform financial and credit analysis on new customer opportunities and provide recommendations per company policy.
  • Forecast incoming payments, supporting FP&A by maintaining up-to-date customer payment trends, notes, and promise-to-pay (PTP) tracking.
  • Conduct Days Beyond Terms (DBT) analysis for key accounts and escalate payment behavior changes.
  • Support quarterly business reviews (QBR) preparation, create accounting slides, and present insights to leadership.
  • Communicate effectively with external legal counsel on bankruptcies, settlements, and disputes, managing approvals and escalations as needed.
  • Actively engage and lead cross-functional and strategic projects, suggesting and driving change across billing, collections, and QTC operations.
  • Perform UAT (User Acceptance Testing) on system changes and collaborating with Business Technology and other departments on technical enhancements.
  • Maintain working knowledge of systems/tools, ensuring understanding of end-to-end collections processes.
  • Train, coach, and support team members; create and maintain training materials as processes evolve.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of collections or accounts receivable experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including payment trend analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strong experience with ERP and collections management tools (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, and Slack).
  • Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles and QTC operations.
  • Experience communicating and collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Finance departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Strong organizational mindset and ability to execute quickly against priorities.
  • Skilled communicator, capable of leading internal and external discussions, presenting updates, and summarizing key points.
  • Effective at building cross-functional relationships and driving resolution through collaboration.
  • Intellectual curiosity, with a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Open to feedback and continuous learning; structures career progression with regular manager check-ins.
  • Ability to coach and mentor peers and junior team members; leads by example.

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$84,000$126,000 USD

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:
$75,000$113,000 USD
