Okta is hiring an Engineering Operations Manager, Vendor Operations to support our vendor management program within Auth0 Engineering. 

Our Auth0 engineers leverage a variety of different tools and applications from third party providers to help them deliver on their everyday work. As the Engineering Operations Manager, Vendor Operations, you will help us design and build for scale to ensure by defining clear vendor processes, including the timely renewal of our vendor contracts.

What you’ll be doing

• Support the redesign of our vendor management program in order to optimize for speed and efficiency
• Identify, collect and organize key information on each tool and application
• Build and maintain various vendor tracking sheets and dashboards to ensure program accuracy
• Develop and implement vendor management and renewal strategies
• Build strong relationships with the Engineering leaders who are accountable for the successful renewal of these various vendors
• Produce and contribute to internal documentation that will help educate and inform our Engineers on how our vendor management program works
• Tracking and monitoring Scout (procurement) and Coupa (AP) tickets throughout the Sourcing LifeCycle 
• Support vendor Quarterly Business Review’s
• Partner with other Okta organizations who use or own the same Vendor Tools to facilitate consolidation of Agreements & Contracts for maximum savings
• Partner with Okta’s Strategic Sourcing team to influence product and process roadmaps
• Partner with AR/AP to investigate vendor invoice and payment issues
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in vendor management to enhance program effectiveness

What you’ll bring to the role

• 5+ years of experience managing vendors and renewals
• Highly proficient in G-Suites; expert in G-Sheets
• Proficient in Atlassian Confluence 
• Proactive and independent in finding opportunities and driving solutions
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Motivated self-starter who enjoys the balance of working independently and collaborating as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across multiple cultures and time zones via verbal and written channels, including email, Slack, Zoom, and in-person 
• Comfortable with ambiguous situations and experience driving outcomes
