Citrix Engineer

NXT GIG is looking for an experienced Citrix Engineer to join our team and manage the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Citrix environments. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and application virtualization solutions are running efficiently and securely. You will collaborate with IT support teams and stakeholders to optimize user experience, troubleshoot issues, and implement new technologies as they arise. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Citrix technologies and a strong understanding of virtualization best practices. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Citrix environments including XenApp, XenDesktop, and Citrix Cloud.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to virtual desktops and applications.
• Configure and maintain Citrix policies, profiles, and application delivery to ensure an optimal user experience.
• Work with IT teams to integrate Citrix solutions with existing infrastructure and support services.
• Conduct regular assessments and updates of the Citrix environment to enhance performance and security.
• Provide technical support and training to end users and IT staff regarding Citrix applications and services.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices for Citrix operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Citrix Engineer or in a similar role focusing on desktop virtualization technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Citrix technologies, including XenApp, XenDesktop, and Citrix Cloud services.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking concepts related to virtualization.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a VDI environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support users and collaborate with team members.
• Relevant Citrix certifications (e.g., CCP, CCE-V) are highly desirable.
