Workplace Technology Solutions Specialist

Job Summary:

This role focuses on solution design, proposals, implementations and end-to-end project delivery within the aspect of Workplace Technology Solutions (WTS), a brand-new vertical at DVI Solutions. WTS focuses on the deployment of IoT systems and solutions within corporate and retail spaces to collect, store and compute data for visualization on a customized dashboard to empower stakeholders with data-driven insights for informed decision making and actionable outcomes. 

Responsibilities:

Project

• Pre-sales solution design, quotation and proposal generation
• Site visits to client premises for feasibility checks and solution scoping
• On-site work such as installation supervision (cabling, mounts, sensors/devices) and configuration of local IoT/networking system
• Liaison with vendors, clients, contractors and overseas DVI project teams
• Remote access work such as configuration of WTS system and client onboarding
• Execution of Internal Tests and User Acceptance Tests
• End to end project documentation such as Sensor Master List, Sensor Deployment Plan, Functional Sign-Off, UAT/Commissioning Document, Operation & Maintenance Manual

Maintenance

• L2 client support (remote and on-site) in collaboration with maintenance team
• L3 client support (liaison with vendor to fix bugs within vendor's system and/or activation of device RMA to vendor)

Product Testing

• In-depth testing of vendor product functions/features to understand capabilities, weaknesses and workarounds.
• Setup of test WTS system and environment in DVI Offices in collaboration with backend, devops and vendor engineers.

Required Education/Experience:

• 2 to 3 years of working experience in IoT Systems, Access Control, Surveillance, Building Management System, Cloud (Azure/AWS), Computer Networking or related field
• Open to recent graduates in Electrical & Electronic, Information Technology, Internet of Things (IoT), Info Communications, Computer Engineering, Robotics or related fields
• Prior experience as a project engineer with the construction industry (main contractor or M&E sub-contractor) would be advantageous
