What you will do
The Manager, Accounts Payable & Vendor Management will oversee and streamline our accounts payable processes while effectively managing vendor relationships. You will manage all vendor contracts and spend approval processes through our Gatekeeper Vendor Management software. You will collaborate with business owners to develop and evolve these processes. This position will manage and mentor the Accounts Payable Specialist, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. As part of this role’s vendor management responsibilities, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure favorable terms, timely delivery of services, and resolution of any issues.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide training/education sessions to business owners on vendor management
  • Work with business owners to ensure vendor management compliance
  • Ensure all vendor relationships are optimized in terms of pricing and payment terms
  • Negotiate pricing directly with vendor partners
  • Assist business owners with RFPs as needed
  • Ensure required vendor performance evaluations are completed annually
  • Provide support/assist with annual financial and SOC2 audit
  • Manage and develop the Accounts Payable Specialist and overall AP function
  • Play a key role in the month-end close process and quarterly/year-end reviews
  • Assist with other Finance projects as assigned
What you need
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Accounting focus preferred
  • 5 years proven experience in general ledger, accounts payable, and/or financial reporting
  • Previous managerial experience required
  • Vendor management experience preferred with demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing with vendors
  • Preferred experience with Gatekeeper, Concur, and Tipalti softwares with ability to manage the software systems
  • Ability to analyze AP and Vendor management processes for improvements  
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, with robust excel skills    
Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $114,750 exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at NRC Health, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package. NRC Health is not currently hiring in DE, HI, LA, MD, NJ, RI, D.C. While this position may allow for a work from home environment, preferred candidates live in the Lincoln, Nebraska and surrounding areas.
