SUMMARY OF THE ROLE 


The Senior Analyst, HSSE & Sustainability (HSSE&S), is a key role responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of the company's sustainability and HSSE programs. This position will analyze data, conduct research, and provide insights to drive continuous improvement in environmental performance, safety practices, and overall sustainability initiatives. The Senior Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices and contribute to the company's commitment to responsible and sustainable operations. This position is located in Houston, TX.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Data Collection and Analysis:
  • Collect, validate, and analyze HSSE and Sustainability data from various sources (e.g., databases, software systems, sensors).
  • Develop and maintain databases and data management systems for HSSE and Sustainability information.
  • Perform statistical analysis and trend analysis to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular audits and quality control measures.
  • Documenting data analysis processes and reports.
  • Technology Implementation and Support:
  • Support implementation of HSSE&S software and technology solutions
  • Provide technical support and training to users on HSSE and Sustainability technology platforms
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with IT and vendors to resolve problems.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in HSSE and Sustainability data management.
  • Visualization and Reporting:
  • Develop and generate regular and ad-hoc reports on HSSE and Sustainability performance metrics.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
  • Interpret and analyze complex data sets.
  • Automate reporting processes where possible.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Master’s degree in engineering, environmental science, sustainability, information technology, computer science, or management information systems and a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in those disciplines OR;
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, sustainability, information technology, computer science, management information system and minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in those disciplines.
  • Familiarity with HSSE&S regulations and industry standards (e.g. OSHA, EPA ISO).
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerBI, Cority, Workiva or proven aptitude for learning a new software or system.
  • Project management skills.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (CDP, DJSI/CSA, GRI, Equator Principles, MSCI) is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present complex information clearly.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance in LNG.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (Power Query, DAX, Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service).
  • Experience with environmental modeling.


Work Environment 

This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc.This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.

·  Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.

·  Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending, standing on a stool, or climbing as necessary to perform these functions.

·  While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent may be required to talk or hear.

·  The incumbent is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

·  Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities.

·  Able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
