New Oakland Family Centers provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse services for consumers across Michigan, in both outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.

Location: Bloomfield Hills

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Reports To: Clinical Director / Clinical Supervisor

Compensation: Salary Employee. Commensurate with experience.

Position Summary: The FACE to FACE Eating Disorder Lead Partial Hospital Therapist is an integral member of the FACE to FACE Partial Hospital Program, responsible for a wide array of clinical and administrative duties. This role involves providing comprehensive therapeutic services, including individual therapy, admissions assessments, family therapy, group therapy, and other essential interventions. Additionally, the Lead Therapist will support the team by assisting with administrative tasks to ensure smooth program operations. Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, the ED Lead Therapist is dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care for consumers who have eating disorders including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Binge Eating Disorders, and is committed to fostering recovery and well-being through evidence-based practices within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Essential Duties / Functions:

  • Acts in accordance with professional standards and policies/procedures of the facility and actively participates as a positive and engaged member of the clinical team and environment, supporting a collaborative work environment.
  • Serves as the third level of support for daily group facilitation, backing and assisting Group Facilitators and Associate Partial Hospital Therapists. 
  • Acts as a dedicated mentor for incoming PHP staff at assigned locations, supporting their onboarding process and integration into the team.
  • Collaborates with site leadership to support and promote New Oakland’s policies and mission.
  • Assists in daily PHP management tasks, including facilitating AM team meetings, assigning tasks to PHP staff, and reviewing census, in coordination with the site Director and Supervisor.
  • Assists with daily group facilitation to consumers in the FACE to FACE Program, adhering to professional standards and the facility’s policies and procedures.
  • Facilitates individual, admission, and family therapy to consumers in the FACE to FACE Program in accordance with professional standards and the facility’s policies/procedures.
  • Develops and implements treatment plans using a person-centered approach tailored to individual consumer needs.
  • Oversees discharge planning and coordination of care as required.
  • Appropriately handles any crisis situation that may occur such as: CPI-approved physical intervention if necessary; CPR if necessary and pursuing eloping clients.
  • Completes documentation as required by the clinic’s policies and procedures.
  • Fulfills all initial and ongoing training requirements.
  • Attends, facilitates, and participates in daily FACE to FACE administrative and clinical meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Master’s degree and valid clinical licensure in social work, professional counseling, or psychology required. Full licensure highly preferred. 1-2 years of NOFC experience required. 2+ years of progressive responsibility within an acute setting highly preferred. Must be able to work well with all populations including children, adolescents, and adults.
