Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

Reports to: VP Creative, NBCUniversal Creative Group               

Job Summary

The NBCUniversal Creative Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Coordinator, Content Production to support the execution of digital and video content projects that enhance our Corporate Digital presence both internally and externally. This junior-level role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, enjoys working behind the scenes to keep projects moving, and has a passion for creative storytelling and brand building.  You will be a key support partner for video production and social media content, by helping to manage timelines, coordinate logistics, and follow up on deliverables. You’ll assist with project tracking, organizing production schedules, and support day-to-day operations to ensure content is delivered on time and in line with our brand standards.  You’ll work closely with our Communications and Creative teams, contribute to brainstorms, and play a role in bringing our new digital branding system to life. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in content production, project coordination, and digital marketing, while learning how creative work comes to life in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and coordination of various content projects from kickoff through delivery, helping track timelines, manage task lists, and ensure follow-ups are completed
  • Assist with sourcing and organizing creative assets, while supporting the production of on-brand visual content for internal and external use
  • Help coordinate the execution of short-form video content and general posts for social media and other platforms, ensuring assets are aligned with brand guidelines
  • Provide basic editing support for video content as needed, sometimes capturing content at live events, planned shoots, and other in-the-moment opportunities
  • Contribute to ideation sessions through a creative and implementation lens, helping to shape concepts that feel current, relevant, and platform appropriate
  • Supporting the team by contributing ideas that help bring baseline concepts to life
  • Helping document and organize concept development
  • Support the creative team by helping identify when existing content templates need updates or when new templates may be needed to better align with evolving content goals or formats
  • Support the review and approval process by tracking feedback and helping ensure updates are made based on brand, legal, and stakeholder input
  • Maintain shared drives, manage version control, and keep files organized and accessible
  • Assist with monitoring deadlines and deliverables across multiple projects, helping ensure the team stays on track
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Creative teams to identify opportunities for content capture and support planning for social and digital content campaigns
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines
  • Stay on top of trends in motion, digital, social video, editing styles, and content formats to help keep our work fresh and engaging
  • Integrate SEM & SEO goals into all projects

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • 1+ years’ experience in social media and digital content production
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, film, marketing, communications, or related field
  • Proficiency in industry-standard creative software – Photoshop, Premiere, Canva, After Effects, Lightroom, Mobile Video Editing apps
  • Technical expertise in video production and still photography with a baseline understanding of lighting, composition, audio capture, post-production, and related digital imaging technology
  • A solid understanding of major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, etc.) and a willingness to continue learning about platform algorithms, content formats, best practices, and trends to help develop engaging content
  • A good foundation in design, layout, and typography, with a strong interest in growing and refining these skills through hands-on experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • A digital portfolio is preferred

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
