Registered Nurse -CC/IR -Cardiac Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology

Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for Cardiac Cath Lab as a full-time RN. This position will work 4 10/hr shifts. On-Call requirements.

The interventional radiology nurse is a healthcare professional who is responsible for assessing and monitoring patients to ensure they receive safe and effective care. RN’s in this position provide care for patients pre, intra and post procedures for all vascular procedures as well as the radiology and cardiac population.
 

RN Responsibilities: 

• Check vital signs, medical history and lab results to prepare patients for procedures
• Insert and remove intravenous lines
• Administer conscious sedation drugs and other medication
• Oversee patient safety and comfort before, during and after procedures
• Educate patients and their families about procedures, follow-up care and discharge instructions

Required Skills & Qualifications:  

• Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree, Diploma, or Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing Preferred. 
• Current Licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state. BLS required. ACLS preferred
• One year of Critical Care experience is required
