Position: Therapeutic Unit Lead

The Therapeutic Unit (TU) Lead will be responsible for co-leading a specific therapeutic unit (e.g., Inflammation, ID/Vaccines) that includes Client Services and Scientific Services team members. The TU leads will cooperatively develop the TU strategy and vision, establish business objectives and quality standards, and independently manage either the Client Services or Scientific Services team within their unit, respectively overseeing account or scientific direction and staff performance and development.

Position Requirements
Education:
 
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in a scientific communications agency, with 2+ years as an Account Director or Scientific Director
  • Able to independently handle wide range of complex situations
  • Strategic thinking with ability to define custom solutions for client challenges and drive organic growth
 
Position Responsibilities
Demonstrates behavior expected of a professional member of the organization, including but not limited to:
  • Establishing and achieving TU business objectives (e.g., revenue, organic growth, utilization)
    • Regularly meet with Managing Director to review strategic account plans and develop solutions for barriers to growth
    • Partner with PM to ensure appropriate level of staffing support
  • Building relationships with senior leadership within client companies outside of specific client's team
  • Supporting lead nurturing, new business, and marketing initiatives for TU
  • Overseeing professional development of multiple team members
  • Supporting recruitment, training, and mentoring of new team members
    • Use consistent approach for professional development of all direct reports, ensuring appropriate goals and opportunities for growth
  • Contributing to organizational thought leadership activities
