Family Nurse Practitioner / Primary Care PRN

Medici Onsite is actively seeking seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner on a PRN (“as needed”) basis for our clinic located in Albuquerque, NM.  Will care for a pediatric and adult patient population in a value-based care model with 30 minute and 1 hour appointment times.  Shifts will always be between the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.  No late clinics, no weekends, no after-hours charting and NO CALL.  This clinic also provides additional patient care and community out-reach services via a brand new Mobile Unit, and we would prefer a provider that is willing to drive the mobile unit as well. 

• Function independently to perform age-appropriate history and physicals for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities Implement interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability, including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role.
• Assist with the provision of surgical care in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
• Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
• Facilitate the patient’s transition within and between healthcare settings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
• Facilitate staff, patient and family decision-making by providing educational tools

• Master's degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program
• Current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New MexicoCurrent Nurse Practitioner Certification in the specialty area of focusCurrent provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); PALS provider card as required by department and facility
• Two to four years experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a Primary Care setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Teaching skills
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Strong listening skills, organization, time management, teamwork, and a deep sense of empathy and compassion to their work
• The ability to work under pressure
• The ability to provide accurate, effective care in stressful situations
