Maximus is entering an exciting growth phase and we’re seeking a Senior Recruiter to lead our hiring efforts.
This is not your typical recruiting role. We are looking for someone who is exceptionally strategic, deeply operational, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You will work directly with the executive team to define needs, design roles, and project-manage hiring processes that set a new standard for excellence in talent acquisition.

Responsibilities:
Lead Hiring Strategy:
Partner closely with the executive team to define talent needs, align on hiring priorities, and design roles that support current and future growth stages.
Act as a central hiring leader, deeply embedding yourself into team goals to ensure every hire is strategic and impactful.
Recruiting Excellence:
Work with hiring managers to understand job requirements, advise on compensation structure, and own job descriptions.
Build and execute customized, full-cycle staffing plans that attract top talent across engineering, research, design, and operations.
Create innovative sourcing strategies (e.g. active and passive sourcing campaigns, job boards, conferences, social media, employee networks, outside agencies, etc) tailored to each role and industry, ensuring a robust and diverse talent pipeline
Manage the candidate experience, ensuring every touchpoint is exceptional—even for those not moving forward.
Enablement & Branding:
Elevate the entire Maximus team as recruiters through training on intake calibration, candidate qualification, decision-making, and closing.
Build and promote Maximus’s employer brand, weaving our mission and values into every step of the recruiting process.
The ideal candidate must have the following:
Experience:
In-house recruiting experience, ideally within high-growth, mission-driven organizations.
Proven track record of successfully scaling teams across diverse functions, including engineering, research, product, marketing, and operations.
Strong experience in developing and executing full-cycle recruitment strategies, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top-tier candidates.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership, hiring managers, and candidates.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement creative sourcing strategies using a variety of channels
Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Deep understanding of competitive talent markets and the ability to attract high-quality candidates through innovative approaches.
Experience with candidate experience management, ensuring a seamless, positive journey for all applicants.
