JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Software Tester will play a crucial role in ensuring that software applications meet the specified requirements and work correctly before deployment. This position requires a proactive team member who can design, execute, and automate testing processes and collaborate closely with development teams. Candidates should have a strong foundation in software testing methodologies and tools, with an emphasis on both manual and automated testing.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable in an agile environment, demonstrating sound analytical skills and a commitment to quality assurance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain test plans and test cases for software applications.

2. Conduct both manual and automated testing to identify software defects and ensure application quality.

3. Collaborate with development team members to troubleshoot issues and recommend improvements.

4. Manage test data and prepare reports on testing progress and results.

5. Participate in sprint planning and retrospective meetings in an Agile environment to align testing goals with development objectives.

6. Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and practices.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.

2. 3+ years of software testing experience with a focus on functional, integration, and regression testing.

3. Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks.

4. Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

DESIRED SKILLS:

1. Experience with performance and load testing.

2. Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and other project management or documentation tools.

3. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

4. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration testing.
