Quality Assurance Tech (Manufacturing)

We currently have an exciting opportunity as a QA Tech! This role ensures that the final product complies with the company's quality standards which includes the reliability, usability, and performance of the product. In general, these detail-oriented professionals are responsible for the implementation of inspection activities, the detection and resolution of problems, and the delivery of satisfactory outcomes.

This role will be based in our facility in Lawton, OK and will work 12-hour shifts (9:00 – 9:00 on a 2, 2, 3 continental schedule). The hourly rate of pay is $24.93/hr. We are seeking an experienced individual with a keen eye for detail and a positive demeanor. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Use a micrometer, pie tapes and ovality gauges to accurately check finished PVC product while recording and reporting quality data
• Efficiently perform the inspection and quality process on extruded PVC pipe, assuring ongoing compliance with quality and industry requirements
• Service and inspect tools to ensure accurate readings
• Consistently meet department safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Maintain a safe work environment through training, adherence to policies and housekeeping.
• Accurately perform responsibilities with limited supervision; other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or certificate of completion is preferred; Must be 18 years old.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment and prior experience with quality control/quality assurance processes, including testing and reporting
• Stable work history exhibiting a dedication to a long-term career vs. job hopping
• Knowledge and experience with micrometers, pie tape and ovality gauges are a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Successful completion of drug screen, physical, and criminal background check

Working Conditions

• Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
• The use of hand tools
• Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required
• Proper use of PPE including steel toed shoes, earplugs, safety glasses
