For one of our clients, we are looking for a Financial Coordinator, remotely from United States.
As a Financial Coordinator, you will support patients on their recovery journey by guiding them through financial inquiries, insurance, billing issues, and payment plans. You will work to ensure patients’ financial clearance, facilitating smooth payment processes while preventing early discharge. This role requires you to navigate various financial systems, offer patient support, and communicate effectively with both patients and internal teams to ensure services are paid for and patients remain supported in their treatment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and the ability to manage a wide range of financial tasks related to patient care.
Accountabilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients regarding insurance, billing inquiries, payments, and subscription renewals.
- Update and document financial clearance information, including demographic, insurance, and medical details.
- Research and discuss financial options with patients for services not covered by third-party payors.
- Proactively monitor patient accounts receivable balances and work with patients on timely payment or alternative plans.
- Ensure accurate communication of patient financial information to the clinical team or CSS Team.
- Master the technology suite, including Freshworks, Bitrix, G-suite, Zoom, Athena, Kareo, and billing systems to engage with patients effectively.
- Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining patient financial records and responding to patient messages.
- Contribute to developing new processes for better service delivery.
- At least 2 years of experience in high-touch customer service or healthcare.
- Proficiency in computer technology and experience with multiple software systems simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Mac/Apple and Google Suite preferred.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and internal departments.
- Solid understanding of insurance plans and patient financial responsibilities, including co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.
- Analytical skills for ensuring accurate document completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in collaborative, diverse, and feedback-driven teams (remote work experience is a plus).
- Ability to handle change, work under pressure, and proactively take action on challenges.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
