Position Purpose:
The Director of Advanced Analytics and Automation within the Controllership organization is responsible for leading the strategic design and execution of data-driven solutions and intelligent automation to drive operational excellence across financial processes. This role plays a pivotal part in transforming core controllership functions by leveraging advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotic process automation (RPA), and solutions such as Blackline to improve accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and decision-making. Partnering closely with Controllership, technology, and compliance teams, the Director will define and implement a roadmap that integrates innovation into everyday operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and enabling scalable, insight-driven controllership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conducts financial planning and forecasting for the functional area.
• Conducts Pro-Forma Financial Analysis.
• Develops and executes cost controls.
• Identifies process improvement opportunities to drive profitability and develops improvement strategies.
• Responsible for appropriate selection, performance appraisals, termination and professional development of assigned staff.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
• Typically reports to the Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis and Functional Leader
• Accountable for the management of a department or functional group through subordinate supervisors/managers and for all personnel issues — including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.
Travel Requirements:
• Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics
• Demonstrated expertise in predictive modeling, data mining and data analysis
• Mastery running queries against data (preferably with Google BigQuery or SQL)
• Proficient with data visualization software (preferably Tableau)
• Mastery utilizing statistical techniques to identify key insights that help solve business problems
• Proficient in Prescriptive Modeling like optimization, computer vision, recommendation, search or NLP

• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
