Job Description

Are YOU ready to drive growth and innovation in the e-learning industry? LIONS Learning is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our diverse team in London. As a key player in our Sales function, YOU will have the opportunity to shape the future of marketing education and make a lasting impact.

Your Role: Empowering Brands Through Education

As our new Business Development Manager, YOU will:

  • Focus on brand partnerships, building a strong and diverse pipeline of opportunities
  • Prospect and qualify new leads across various industries and sectors
  • Pitch our cutting-edge e-learning courses for marketing specialists
  • Expand our current customer base within specific sectors
  • Hit monthly targets and contribute to our overall growth strategy

Reporting to the LIONS Learning Head of Commercial, YOU will be at the forefront of our expansion efforts.

    Your Key Accountabilities

    1. Revenue Growth: Achieve personal revenue targets by delivering against activity levels and building a robust pipeline.

    2. Client Retention: Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse client base to enhance loyalty, reduce churn, and increase repeat business. Success is reflected in an 85%+ completion rate.

    3. Data-Driven Decision Making: Provide effective, accurate forecasting of prospects and opportunities for YOU and your team.

    4. Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and industry experts from various backgrounds, to align goals and drive success.

    Qualifications

    Your Skills and Experience

    To thrive in this role, YOU should bring:

    • A clear understanding of what makes courses valuable and engaging for diverse learners
    • A strong track record of achieving sales targets, ideally in an e-learning setting
    • Experience in consultative selling with a solution-led approach
    • Persuasiveness and executive presence that resonates with various stakeholders
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
    • The ability to identify, strategize, and build new business opportunities across different sectors
    • Flexibility to work collaboratively across all time zones, embracing global diversity
    • Adaptability to thrive in dynamic working environments
    • Experience working alongside and presenting to senior management, business leads, stakeholders, and renowned industry experts from diverse backgrounds

    Additional Skills and Qualifications

    • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability, with a deep understanding of sales and retention in diverse markets.

    • Sales & Negotiation Skills: Strong sales acumen and the ability to develop compelling proposals, negotiate effectively, and close deals with corporate clients from various industries.

    • Analytical Thinking: Proficiency in analyzing market trends, customer feedback, and performance data to inform decisions and improve strategies.

    • Organizational Skills: Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities, capable of managing multiple teams and programs simultaneously in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

    • Customer-Centric Approach: Deep commitment to understanding the diverse needs of clients and delivering solutions that exceed expectations, fostering loyalty and long-term partnerships.

    • Presentation & Communication Skills: Confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders and industry experts from various backgrounds, with the ability to articulate ideas and strategies clearly and persuasively.
