ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Web Portal Assistant to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory! This position is part-time (expected 20-30 hours per week) and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico with hybrid flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Navigate the Admin Portal for our Service Now AskSecurity website.

• Assist the Portal Administrator with back-end assignments.

• Communicate with customers and be patient and flexible to daily changes.

• Assist with introducing a new software to LANL customers (Service Now).

• Assign tickets to the appropriate places.

• Complete training on Oracle as needed.

• Assist Administrator and Developers throughout the going live process.

Requirements

• Education & Years of Experience – High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience

• Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work

• Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed

• Experience collaborating with multiple teams.

• Experience as an Administrative Assistant (with IT desired).

• Positive attitude and demonstrate patience during lengthy projects.

• Experience using Microsoft Teams, Outlook Calendars, and SharePoint-like portal(s).

Desired Skills

• Experience with Oracle or Service Now (SNOW).

The NNSA's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is a design laboratory responsible for the safety and reliability of the nuclear explosives package in nuclear weapons. This lab possesses unique capabilities in neutron scattering, enhanced surveillance, radiography, and plutonium science and engineering (energy.gov).
