Federal Security Operations Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Director, Security Operations Center (SOC) for its Government division focused on the U.S. Federal sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, establishment, and maturation of a federal-compliant Security Operations Center (SOC)
• Ensure SOC operations and tools comply with federal cybersecurity frameworks and manage incident response processes
• Recruit and develop a high-performing cybersecurity team focused on federal security challenges

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership experience in cybersecurity, with 5+ years in a senior SOC role
• Experience in building SOCs with a focus on federal compliance
• Extensive knowledge of federal cybersecurity regulations, including NIST SP 800-53 and FedRAMP
• Experience with government security clearances at the TS/SCI level
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM are highly desirable
