On-site Training Coordinator

ERG’s Facilities Planning and Engineering team is seeking a full-time, experienced Training Coordinator to track and report on training requirements at a federal facility site in Indian Head, MD. This position will involve working closely with directors, managers, engineering project teams, operators, and other stakeholders to ensure federal training programs are fully executed through detailed training coordination, tracking, and reporting. The successful candidate will join our growing team, focusing on quality work and fostering collaborative, long-term relationships with our clients and within our team.  


This position will be full-time at the federal site in Indian Head, MD, and will include interaction and support from ERG personnel at the federal site, as well as from ERG’s Chantilly and Arlington offices. Indian Head is approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC, 25 miles from Alexandria, VA, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, VA. Flexible work schedules may be considered.   


Job Description:
  • Perform analysis and advisory assignments related to the effectiveness of government programs and/or the efficiency of the management of government operations
  • Manage the training certification program for employees
  • Assist with the development and implementation of training plans specific to hazardous operators
  • Certify new employees and re-certifying employees who handle materials, contractors, and summer interns
  • Handle PII records and comply with HIPAA regulations, and ensure documentation is available for personnel and management
  • Manage schedules and coordinate medical examinations for employees
  • Maintain tracking notebooks and documents and provide them to designated personnel on a routine basis
  • Participate in and support audits, track safety incidents, monitor procedure compliance investigations, and provide management with monthly compliance reports
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency across all stages of training
  • Identify, analyze, and make recommendations to resolve conventional problems and situations in safety, certification, work requests, workflow, work distribution, organizational structure, and administration
  • Develop new methods, organizational methods, and management processes associated with the training program
  • Counsel, train, and advise managers, program managers, and administrative staff on methods and procedures, reports, and control techniques 


Qualifications and Skills:
  • At least three years of relevant experience as a Training Coordinator or in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders
  • Experience with proficiency metrics, data analysis, and training development to monitor and report on quality performance
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
  • Process improvement experiences are a plus
  • Proven ability to utilize Microsoft products (Team, Word, Excel)   
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance


$61,000 - $74,000 a year

ERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401k plan, profit sharing, an EAP, 11-20 paid vacation days per year, 10 paid holidays per year, 56 hours or more of sick leave (based on the state you work in) per year (pro-rated for part-time) and more. The salary range for all positions depends on the years and type of experience.
