SUMMARY:
The Social Media Manager will play an important role in executing social media strategy and managing our brand presence across social platforms. The position will have responsibility for social media calendar management, content development, community management and reporting/analysis to generate key insights. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively cross-functionally with other key brand stakeholders as well as external teams (agencies, creative partners, etc.) in support of campaigns, programs, and product launches to drive success of the business. Existing beauty knowledge or a high level of interest is key to success. Candidates should have an eye on the marketplace and an understanding of social content that resonates in the US with a knack for identifying emerging trends and a clear understanding of reporting metrics related to social KPIs.
This role reports to the Director of Brand Marketing and is based in NYC.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Organic Social Media
- Plan social content calendar that aligns with social media strategy and visual/verbal brand identity guidelines to ensure consistency in Go To Market plans
- Brainstorm new creative concepts for social content and marketing campaigns
- Manage daily operations of all social media channels, including content scheduling, monitoring, and engagement
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to amplify and support tentpole campaigns
2. Content Development
- Generate compelling and visually captivating content for social media platforms Instagram and TikTok
- Collaborate with creative team to produce high-quality graphics, photography, video, and copy.
- Identify emerging social trends & create nimble social content based on rising and declining trends in products, ingredients, etc.
- Translate brand voice across social platforms, maintaining brand consistency in messaging, tone, and visuals across all social media platforms by adhering to brand guidelines.
3. Community Management
- Cultivate a thriving online community of passionate brand supporters through proactive engagement and interaction, address comments and messages, and sparking valuable discussion.
- Monitor social media platforms for customer feedback, complaints and queries, ensuring prompt and courteous responses.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (including but not limited to customer service, marketing, product development, and legal) to ensure that responses and product claims are compliant
4. Reporting & Analysis
- Create monthly reporting with performance updates and strategic insights - reporting to all teams on social media metrics, KPI’s, audience growth, engagement, campaign effectiveness, product comments, etc.
- Perform social listening to monitor brand’s net sentiment. Identify relevant conversations and communities to engage with to increase favorability.
- Analyze and report monthly performance and organic social insights
- Offer practical suggestions to enhance content quality, engagement, and conversion rates.
QUALIFIYING EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
- 3-5 years’ experience in Social Media management for a brand (in-house or agency). Experience in luxury beauty or fashion preferred
- Expertise in social media platforms Instagram and TikTok, with particular attention to content that resonates and is trending
- Proficient in content creation and community management to drive 360 omni-channel storytelling
- Familiarity with third party social tools such as Dash Hudson, Tribe Dynamics, Creator IQ, Traackr, etc.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage social media in real-time with minimal oversight
- Self-starter able to adapt quickly to changes in priorities and multi-task multiple projects.
- Able to prioritize and manage time effectively, and to balance competing priorities in a very fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and extraordinary collaborative team spirit with ability to navigate internal and external partners
- Professional and diplomatic style with a positive manner and a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Based in NYC.

- Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
