Engineering Manager, Geo Experience
About the Team
DoorDash is seeking a talented Engineering Manager to lead our Geo Experience team, part of the Delivery Excellence pillar. Our pillar’s vision is to ensure 100% of DoorDash orders are delivered with the highest quality. The Geo Experience team supports this vision by making it easy and seamless for customers to specify where and how they want to receive their orders. This ensures each customer gets their delivery in the correct location, and every dasher picks up and drops off orders precisely as expected, every time. The team focuses on two key metrics: Conversion and Never Delivered (ND) rates. The Geo Experience team develops consumer and dasher focused products and provides UI components and solutions for address, dropoff and map management that are leveraged across DoorDash.
About the Role
As the manager for the Geo Experience team, you will manage a team of mobile, fullstack and backend engineers. You will be responsible for driving the technical vision, strategy, and execution of the team charter. You will also collaborate greatly with the product, design, operations and peer engineering teams in identifying new opportunities to improve the address intake and validation and overall address experience for customers and the drop off experience for the dashers.

- BS, M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
- You have 2+ years of engineering leadership experience as an EM on a full-stack team
- You have 7+ years of industry experience
- You’re an owner - driven, focused, and quick to take ownership of your work

- A strong hands-on technical leader and strong product sense
- Humble - you’re willing to get into the details and you’re open to feedback
- You have experience navigating ambiguous business problems and tackling high-scale technical challenges

Compensation
The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.
