Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Underwriting responsible for providing superior service and overseeing underwriting practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and ensure adherence to underwriting procedures and guidelines
• Review new business and referrals, seeking improvements in efficiency and effectiveness
• Set departmental goals and assist in the budget process while resolving escalated issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• FLMI or CLU or similar professional designations
• Minimum of 7 years management experience
• Knowledge of insurance processes and products
• Prior experience with mid to large case underwriting
