Director of Sustaining Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Sustaining Engineering to oversee sustaining efforts for their safety technology platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate problem sets from non-technical stakeholders into clear, testable engineering scenarios
• Lead and mentor a team of contractors to diagnose, prioritize, and resolve sustaining bugs and issues
• Oversee root cause analysis and product lifecycle sustainment strategies to ensure long-term reliability

Required Qualifications

• 10-15 years of engineering experience
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in embedded systems engineering and IoT engineering
• Hands-on development experience with Nordic nRF52XX SoCs and Semtech LR1110
• Proficiency in C firmware development for embedded systems and version control (e.g., Git)
• Strong understanding of LoRa and Bluetooth protocol stacks
