CPhT Utilization Management Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Utilization Management Pharmacy Technician.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate the process for utilization management requests, including entering authorizations and managing communications
• Support members in specialty management programs by coordinating prior authorizations and addressing billing questions
• Coordinate with pharmacy staff and medical directors on utilization management activities and ensure compliance with guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1-2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a PBM or similar setting
• Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
• Knowledge of pharmacy claims adjudication and benefit designs
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
