Job Summary

A company is looking for a Correspondent Conventional Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently underwrite conventional mortgage loans in accordance with agency guidelines
• Utilize Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS) to assess loan eligibility and analyze complex income scenarios
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality in underwriting decisions while maintaining effective communication with internal teams and external partners

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of conventional agency first mortgage underwriting experience
• Proficiency in DU and LPA automated underwriting systems
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, particularly in evaluating complex income
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Comfortable with remote work tools and video conferencing platforms
