Senior Product Designer

🎨 Who Are We?

Convelio is a leading fine art shipping company that specialises in the safe and efficient transportation of valuable artworks and collectibles worldwide. With a strong focus on technology and customer-centric solutions, Convelio has established itself as a trusted partner in the art logistics industry in recent years and we serve a wide range of customers from art galleries, antique dealers, auction houses, online platforms to interior designers.

We've developed our own proprietary algorithm to offer competitive real-time shipping quotes and an end-to-end logistics service to the art market. Our mission is to become a tech-driven company in a traditional industry, and therefore make the shipping of bulky and valuable items as easy as possible by providing an online and seamless experience. Plus, we’ve got you covered with secure, reliable storage options to keep your art safe.

With 130+ colleagues scattered across Paris, London and New York, Convelio has a strong start-up & international culture. We thrive in solving complex logistics issues for our clients, enabling both sellers and buyers in the art market. We are backed by proven technology, prominent VC’s, and boast a global network and the resources (€30 million Series B funding in March 2022) to seize the market opportunity

🎩 Your Role:

At Convelio, we have 2 main areas of focus (and thus squads) in Product and Engineering:

Logistics Engineering: They are responsible for any outcomes related to our overall shipping capabilities - pricing, quoting, booking, tracking - as well as our sales processes associated with this.

Artwork Lifecycle Management: They are responsible for our Inventory Management, Storage and Customs Management softwares.

You will be working alongside both squads in order to support their design needs. However, the immediate focus will be on the new and exciting products/features in Artwork Lifecycle Management.

You’ll partner with a Product Manager and Tech leads to create solutions for user problems. As the only one in this role, this is a unique opportunity for a Senior Product Designer to own our Product Design culture alongside our CPO, and it’ll appeal an enthusiastic, ambitious and self-motivated teammate, who’s ready to make a real impact and willing to grow with us as we transform the art logistics market.

✏️ What you'll do:

- Help shape our Product Design strategy, alongside David, our CPO.

- Understand, analyse and frame users problems and insights. Make hypothesis and experiments to learn more about our users and their needs.

- Implement a user-centric culture in your squad and be the voice of the users anytime needed, advocate for the best user experience and how it can impact the different business metrics we follow.

- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define most valuable solutions to the identified problems.

- Iterate to deliver the best solution with a test-and-learn approach.

- Build simple and comprehensive interfaces with our Design System and Brand Guidelines.

- Partner with the design and front-end team to continue to develop the Design System.

- Track the usage of your solutions and follow-up business metrics to continue to learn and adapt the solutions.

🧑‍🎨 Your profile:

We expect you to have accomplished the following:

- You have a pragmatic approach to design and have created products that scale easily.

- You have a track-record of shipping complex B2B digital products - from the first spark of an idea to launch (follow-ups post-release included! 😉).

- You are user-oriented and leverage quantitative and qualitative data to back up hypotheses and drive design decisions. You have either worked with User - Researchers or done User Research yourself.

- You are fluent in English.

Nice to have (but not mandatory) skills we’re happy to help you grow:

- Understanding of how to create the best experience through agility and dedicated tools (we use Figma, Notion, Miro, Linear and many others).

- Working with key technical stakeholders and diverse teams to create the most valuable solutions for our users and our business.

- Understanding business context and bringing it in your design process to come up with user-centric solutions that drives business value.

- Communicating about your ideas and convincing your teams and stakeholders to influence prioritization and strategy.

- Proactively identifying and communicating risks, and adapting your communication style to suit the audience.

- Working directly with developers (Front-end, Back-end) and Product Managers .

- Additional bonus if you have experience in a B2B Scale-Up.

🌍 What we offer:

- An opportunity to be part of a constantly developing and innovative company that is transforming the art logistics industry, with a focus on our emerging technologies and offerings - truly taking Convelio to the next level!

- The chance to work in an exciting and fast-growing Tech-Logistics company : it’s a key moment to join Convelio in terms of growth and opportunities.

- Flex Remote or Full Remote possible.

- If you want to come to the office: we do have a very pleasant office environment in Soho!

- A dynamic team with diverse and highly advanced skill sets to learn from.

- Autonomy to suggest improvements in team processes and development strategy.
