PCT Mold Repair Technician

Vernon, IL location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented PCT Mold Repair Technician to join our group.  The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is dependable and accountable.

THE POSITION

Responsible for managing PCT mold preparation, repair and cleaning services.  Data verification.  Ability to work closely with internal and external people.

1. Manage daily cleaning, venting and repair of PCT molds with our external partner.  Update tracking systems.
2. Oversee mold prep and mold installation.
3. Manage the mold prep floor schedule and ensure molds are available as needed.
4. Manage the PCT mold store.
5. Manage all PCT mold systems and ensure data is properly entered for tracking and audit purposes.
6. Mold Repair Technician will follow all plant rules, departmental safety policies, environmental policies, and chemical handling procedures, including being familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets, (MSDS)
7. Mold Repair Technician will operate forklift type mold handling equipment utilizing and observing proper safety regulations.
8. Ensure area is kept clean and orderly.

Perform other duties as directed by the Mold Lead Supervisor or Mold Services Manager.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED

3 years of mechanical experience

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Continental is not able to offer visa support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree in Related Field
