This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days per week in our Philadelphia office. 

Job Description

Take your marketing experience and creativity to the next level as the owner of one of Cycle Gear’s email and SMS retention programs! With your talents you will excite, educate, and inspire our customers through personalized messaging, presenting the most compelling and relevant content and design for brands known and loved by the motorcycle community for a nearly combined 100 years across the Comoto Family of Brands. 

In this role you will be able to collaborate with our designers and stakeholders to maintain an up-to-date campaign calendar, our larger marketing organization to create compelling messages and contact strategies, and our product and technology teams to develop new email functionality and features. You will be challenged to think differently, to test and analyze, and to find new opportunities to optimize messaging and delivery. Experienced channel knowledge coupled with great program management skills will allow our email marketing specialist to thrive on a consumer-focused marketing team built to serve our passionate customers. 

Our CRM Specialist Will:

  • Own end-to-end email/SMS strategy and planning, from major promotional events and product messaging, including calendar layouts, scheduling, and reporting on performance for Cycle Gear.
  • Own design asset request and approval, adhering to brand marketing plan and ad hoc needs for promotional planning and/or site product development. 
  • Assist in developing brand voice, identify appropriate mix of content (both existing and potential additions) and commerce to serve the rider and make Cycle Gear a premier destination for existing customers.
  • Brainstorm, implement, and monitor messaging to support marketing objectives and maximize brand exposure in local and national markets.
  • Support brick-and-mortar, e-commerce, and event stakeholders in ensuring marketing messaging is relevant, timely, and impactful for the customer base. 
  • Assist in identifying cross-channel messaging for customer segments to both build and enhance personalization (i.e. Marketing trigger program, RPM loyalty program, product-driven segments, cross-brand shoppers). 
  • Identify a roadmap for A/B testing within SMS/email channels and broader implications to the business.

Qualifications

Our CRM Specialist Has:

  • Proven experience working within a retail environment, understanding its unique customer dynamics and operational needs
  • In-depth experience using third party email service provider platforms (Sailthru, Listrak, Responsys, etc.)
  • Experience with HTML/CSS and content design in the context of building/coding/deployment of email campaigns
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) in working across several departments and teams including, but not limited to, product and technology, merchandising, design and creative, business development, and the larger marketing team
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding (and interpretation) of core KPIs and retail concepts (including familiarity with analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Omniture, Qlik, Looker, or others)
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly
  • Must work well in a team environment with a high degree of independent thinking and self-responsibility.
  • Maintains the attitude that nothing is outside my job description

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience working in JIRA and/or Confluence a plus 
  • Experience (foundational or beyond) with any kind of CRM setup/tool
  • Experience building processes and harnessing team resources to tackle challenges.
  • Advanced HTML/CSS coding skillset
