People Operations Coordinator

The Role

As a People Operations Coordinator, you will be a key contributor to fostering a positive and engaging workplace experience. Working as part of the People team, you will collaborate with the Head of People and other internal departments to develop and implement people-focused initiatives, streamline onboarding processes, enhance employee engagement, and support the daily operations of the HR function. Your work will play an essential role in shaping an inclusive and thriving company culture.


Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Manage candidate communication, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to recruitment and hiring processes.
  • Facilitate new hire paperwork, pre-employment compliance, and scheduling of onboarding activities.
  • Oversee the onboarding experience for new employees in the NYC office.
  • Ensure a smooth offboarding process, including termination documentation and system access removal.
  • Organize and facilitate internal events, team-building activities, and employee recognition programs that promote a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Manage company swag distribution and ensure employees feel connected, whether in-person or remote.
  • Plan and coordinate virtual and in-person company events, and engagement initiatives.
  • Conduct 30/60/90-day and annual employee check-ins.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating bi-annual performance reviews.
  • Support the People team with administrative tasks, including compliance efforts and HR projects.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing questions related to HR programs and culture initiatives.
  • Help improve processes and implement best practices to enhance employee experience.


Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in an HR Coordinator or People role (preferably in a fast-paced environment).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, ready to take on new challenges and improve processes.
  • Experience planning and coordinating company events and engagement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of basic HR practices, employee relations, and compliance is a plus.


$31 - $37.50 an hour
