Position Overview:

 
The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day HR functions and is the main point of contact for employees.
 
This is an on-site position and not remote.  Therefore, we are only considering candidates who live within a commutable distance from our  Allentown facility
 
Salary Range -  $50,000-62,700

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for staffing and onboarding of new employees including preparation of new hire paperwork.
  • Daily employee interaction and floor presence: resolving issues, answering questions, and working with employees and managers to encourage a culture of positive employee relations.
  • Helps recruiters schedule the screening and supervisor/managers' interviews.  Assists HR Manager with managing the internal hiring process.
  • Ensures that all policies are implemented and enforced consistently and fairly.
  • Provides updates and regular communication to the HR manager on building activity and escalates issues in a timely manner
  • Creates and maintains employee files and ensures all information is held in the strictest confidence.
  • Responsible for managing all CJL HR systems for areas of responsibilities including UltPro HRIS  and administrative tasks to provide proper and accurate data entry, maintenance, and reporting in a timely manner.
  • Perform other related job duties as required, within the scope of training and expertise"
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
    3+ years of previous HR experience required
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and payroll management system required
  • Proven ability to conduct employee training required. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently required
    Experience in the transportation industry is a plus
    Strong written and verbal communication skills required
    Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
