The Head of Monitoring & Delivery Assurance is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and management of monitoring and assurance processes to ensure the successful delivery of projects and programs. This role will focus on establishing best practices in monitoring project progress, quality, risk management, and delivering exceptional project outcomes. The Head of Monitoring & Delivery Assurance will work closely with senior leadership, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure consistent alignment with organizational goals, project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Main Accountabilities
- Strategic Planning and Leadership:
- Lead the development and implementation of strategies for monitoring and delivery assurance across all projects and programs.
- Set the direction for continuous improvement and quality assurance processes.
- Develop and manage the assurance framework for the organization, ensuring it is aligned with business objectives.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Establish and maintain monitoring mechanisms to track project performance, risks, and milestones.
- Ensure the effective use of data to provide insights into project progress, quality, and compliance with delivery expectations.
- Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting to senior management and stakeholders on project status, risks, and mitigations.
- Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely intervention when issues arise.
- Implement a proactive risk management approach, ensuring that potential delivery obstacles are addressed promptly.
- Provide recommendations for risk reduction and overall project health improvement.
- Delivery Assurance and Quality:
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards.
- Conduct regular assessments of delivery processes, identifying areas for improvement.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure consistent delivery excellence.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of professionals dedicated to monitoring and delivery assurance.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Establish clear performance metrics and ensure accountability within the team.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery assurance-related matters for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior management, and clients to align project goals and delivery expectations.
- Engage with external auditors or certification bodies when required to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the delivery process, ensuring lessons learned from past projects are applied to future work.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of delivery assurance methodologies.
Education, Experience and Technical Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Proven experience (10+ years) in Project Management, Delivery Assurance, MIS or related roles
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, frameworks, and delivery best practices
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in risk management, quality assurance, and performance monitoring
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable insights from data
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven track record of leading large-scale MIS transformation projects, automation initiatives, and BI reporting improvements
- Excellent level of written and oral communication in English and Greek
- Computer Literacy, advance use of MS Office Applications
- Knowledge and Usage of Power BI Tool, VBA and SQL Programming is highly desirable
