Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have a choice in where and how you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

We are looking for a highly motivated and strategically-minded executive sales leader to manage our go-to-market organisation to drive sales and expand our customer base across the entire APJ region including SMB, mid-market, and enterprise segments. You will build scalable sales programs that align with Canva’s strategic goals and enable rapid expansion to drive long-term revenue growth in APJ. At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Leading and scaling the APJ sales organisation, managing a team of sales professionals.
  • Own and drive Canva’s ARR growth across APJ, with an eye toward long-term scalability.
  • Implement operational rigor in forecasting, pipeline execution, and sales discipline, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for high-growth and underdeveloped markets like SEA, India, and Japan.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure a seamless customer experience and strong retention rates.
  • Be a hands-on leader, actively supporting strategic deal-making and account growth.
  • Advocate for APJ market needs at Canva HQ, ensuring the region gets the necessary investment, resources, and strategic alignment.

You're probably a match if you have

  • A wealth of leadership experience in sales, go-to-market, or revenue growth roles within a high-growth SaaS or B2B tech environment.
  • A proven track record in building and scaling sales teams, managing SMB to Enterprise customer segments.
  • Strong understanding of APJ markets, including pricing models, cultural nuances, and regional GTM strategies.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams.
  • Operationally disciplined, with deep expertise in forecasting, pipeline management, and sales process improvement.
  • A proven leader, capable of hiring, developing, and retaining world-class sales talent.
  • Data-driven, with the ability to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Customer-obsessed, with a deep passion for solving customer problems and driving business outcomes.
  • Someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, balancing execution with strategic thinking.

About the team

 

The APJ Sales team plays a critical role in Canva’s growth, driving expansion across one of our most diverse and high-potential regions. The team is responsible for developing GTM strategies, scaling pipeline generation, and ensuring strong enterprise adoption across Japan, Korea, India, SEA, and ANZ.

Our mission is to scale Canva’s B2B revenue, contributing directly to Canva’s broader business goals. The team partners closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Ecosystem teams to ensure that sales efforts align with Canva’s overall enterprise and market penetration strategies​.

As we expand, this team will establish Canva’s presence in underdeveloped APJ markets, focusing on strategic account growth, operational efficiency, and scalable sales processes.
